Thanks to our sponsors and volunteers that made it all possible.  We're currently working on a second Phoenix MMR for Nov 22nd.  We are working on a venue for 1000+ this time since this one sold out so early.

FAQ:

Is there early race check-in?: YES!  Race check-in involves getting your bib numbers that you'll be required to wear, a swag bag, your custom t-shirt, etc.  Early race check-in will be available at the Tempe REI store from 5 to 7pm on Friday May 2nd.  Don't forget to bring your signed WAIVER!  Checking in on Friday will save you from having to show up extra early on Saturday when everything is CrAzY!  The Tempe REI is located at: 1405 W Southern Ave on the southwest corner of Southern and Priest.  If for some reason you can't make it to the early check-in, please show up at the race site (Fiesta Ramada) no later than 7am on raceday.

How much time do we get to finish?: You'll have 2 hours & 45 minutes to finish the 5 miles.  You could go less than 2 miles per hour and still complete the course.  For reference, a good brisk walk is usually about 3.5 mph.

What about Costumes?: Many people have been asking about whether or not they should wear a costume.  For those who've done mud run's in the past, it's quite common to see a number of teams dressed up silly.  We highly encourage it, so long as it doesn't get in the way of your ability to race and that you don't mind it getting muddy.  Matter of fact, we've got a prize for the team with the best costumes.  Please do come in costume!

What if it Rains?:  If it rains, you'll have even more fun!  The event goes on Rain or shine.

The only exception is if the venue forced us to close due to extreme circumstances.  In that case, The event will be moved to a later date and/or venue within 2008.  If impossible, refunds of 80% will be given for the registration fees, not including Active.com's additional registration fees or donations made to the Foundation for Burns & Trauma. We've put on many events in the rain and our participants consider those events some of their favorites.  If rainy or windy conditions become unsafe, we will alter the course accordingly.

Will their be food available?  Yes, light food and drinks will be available after the event.

Will we get a race t-shirt?  Of course, a first edition, Mad Mud Run Race t-shirt.  Additional T-shirts will be available for $10, with $5 of that going to the Foundation for Burns and Trauma.  All finishers also receive a custom dog tag to commemorate the event.

Will Water be available on the course?  Yes, at various points along the course, though you may still want to carry a bottle of water with you as it could be warm.  We'll also have Hammer HEED at water stations which is an electrolyte replacement drink for endurance athletes.  If your sweating, you'll want it!

Who's putting this event on?  Sierra Adventure Sports has been the leading provider of Adventure Racing in the southwestern US since 2003.
